When i go into my network from any computer to the win 7 computer 9 document folders, 9 music folders and 9 pic folders come up.
Any idea how to get rid of them?

Solution
When you are accessing a Windows 7 computer from another device on the network, and you see multiple duplicate folders for documents, music, and pictures, it could be due to shared libraries or possibly duplicate folder redirection settings. Here are steps you can take to address this issue:

Solution 1: Check Libraries on Windows 7 Computer

  1. Open File Explorer on the Windows 7 computer.
  2. Navigate to the Libraries section on the left.
  3. Right-click on each of the Documents, Music, and Pictures libraries and select Properties.
  4. Check if there are multiple folders added to these libraries. Remove any duplicates or unnecessary folders.

Solution 2: Review Folder Redirection Settings

Solution 2: Review Folder Redirection Settings

  5. Access Group Policy Editor on the Windows 7 computer by typing "gpedit.msc" in the Run dialog box (Win + R).
  6. Navigate to User Configuration > Windows Settings > Folder Redirection.
  7. Check the settings for Documents, Music, and Pictures folders. Ensure that there are no duplicate redirections set up.
  8. Adjust or remove any redundant redirections.

    Solution 3: Check Network Shares

  9. Ensure there are no redundant network shares set up for these folders on the Windows 7 computer.
  10. Review the network sharing settings for Documents, Music, and Pictures folders to ensure they are correctly configured.

Solution 4: Reset Folder View on the Windows 7 Computer

  11. On the Windows 7 computer, open a folder that is displaying duplicates.
  12. Click on the View tab in File Explorer.
  13. Click on the Options button and then select Change folder and search options.
  14. In the View tab, click on Reset Folders, and then click Apply and OK. After trying these solutions, check if the issue persists when accessing the Windows 7 computer from another device on the network. If the problem continues, further investigation may be necessary to identify the source of these duplicate folders.
