Gladys Burrill has been named the oldest woman ever to finish a marathon, despite not even knowing she was eligible for the title when she entered the race.
Nicknamed the Gladyator, 92-year-old Ms Burrill completed the Honolulu Marathon, in Hawaii, late last year in nine hours and 53 minutes.
Guinness World Records has now officially confirmed the she is the oldest woman to have ever completed a marathon and the title has, of course, led to a number of questions as to how she keeps fit at such a ripe old age.
