Microsoft has released the Surface Pro 2017 for pre-order here: Home of the Microsoft Surface Device Family | Surface
This new line of products also includes a Surface Laptop as well as a all-in-one type PC. Interestingly, however, I can not seem to find full hardware specifications anywhere. For example, where is the information about USB, wifi adapter(s), and ethernet ports?
Interestingly, it appears the Surface Pro 2017, unbelievably, for the price it is currently going for, will NOT include a USB 3.1 Thunderbolt port. According to this article, it appears the company assumes ignorance on behalf of the consumer about USB 3.1. This is not to say the device isn't great for portability, but what is up with the lack of modern ports?
Unfortunately, consumers have to, apparently, rely on 3rd party review sites in order to get full specs for this type of system. BusinessInsider, actually, gives a good review of this product including full specs:
Here’s what’s new, and what’s not new, in Microsoft’s latest Surface Pro
After scouring the Microsoft website for some time, I found more information on the Surface line of products under the comparison section:
