Exciting news for all Windows Insiders! Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.586 and 22622.586 (KB5016701) to the Beta Channel. Let's dive into the details and what these updates mean for us.
## Build Differences
- Build 22622.586: Features are rolling out.
- Build 22621.586: New features are off by default.
If you find yourself on Build 22621.xxxx without new features, you can manually update to the Build 22622.xxx to access these new features.
## Key Fixes and Improvements
### General Fixes
- DWM Crashes: Resolved issues causing display issues and black flashes.
- SQL Server Management Studio: Fixed launch issues for some users.
### File Explorer
- Many fixes addressed including title bar dragging issues, context menu improvements for opening folders in new tabs, duplication issues, explorer.exe crashes, and File Explorer display issues.
### Taskbar
- Taskbar overflow flyout issues, icon rearrangement crashes, DPI-related overflow issues, and taskbar responsiveness have all seen improvements.
### Settings
- Resolved a crash when uninstalling certain apps and unexpected overlays on view-changing buttons in the Settings.
