Hi,

I'm doing a migration from a 2008 R2 domain called "company, com" to a 2012 domain called "ad,company, com". My question is, which would be the easiest way to migrate all user accounts from one to the other? Is there a built-in tool or do I go third party?

I already have the new servers set up with the 2012 domain created and dns and dhcp set up.

Thanks for the help. I've been looking into it but can't seem to find exactly what I need. Mostly because of the name change.

No, the name change is a deal breaker... there may be a 3rd party tool that can do this but I have not seen one.

You could make a sub-forrest and call it whatever with a dns pointer that sees it as "ad.company.com" but it adds some lag to the over all network and may end up being just as buggered... over a 5000 names, I would use excel to list them out but perhaps thats just me.
