Windows 7 missing desktop

Please help, I started my new laptop after I loaded all my data from my old laptop and all my desktop is not there. There were many folder I installed with some important info, now they are all gone. When the laptop starts up it says file missing from C:\\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop and that I should check that the disk is connected. Its a Sony Vaio VPCF127HG/BI.

Sounds like the profile is corrupted.

You can boot from 7 install DVD (or 7 Repair CD) to start the command prompt after clicking "Repair my computer", and type: net user administrator /active:yes, this will turn on the hidden admin account.

If you don't have 7 DVD, you can download the repair CD from here:
