It'll take 15 minutes to upload 200MB to and external drive. Moving pictures to a new folder takes a little while, and the window doesn't refresh, so even once they're done, I can't tell until I go to the destination folder.

Refreshing File Explorer: - Manually Refresh: You can manually refresh the file explorer window by pressing F5 or using the refresh button in the toolbar. - Automate Refresh: You can enable automatic refreshing in Windows File Explorer. Here's how: - Open File Explorer. - Go to the "View" tab on the toolbar. - Check the box for "Refresh" in the "Panels" group. This will automatically refresh the window at regular intervals. 3. Use Robocopy or Xcopy: - You can use Robocopy (robust file copy) or Xcopy from the command line to copy files. These commands provide more detailed information during the copy process. 4. Third-Party File Managers: - Consider using third-party file managers like Total Commander or FreeCommander. These tools often provide more features and real-time progress updates during file transfers. 5. Optimize Folder Settings: - Adjust folder settings to optimize the viewing experience, such as disabling thumbnails or changing the folder view to Details for better clarity on file transfer progress. By implementing these suggestions, you should be able to improve the file transfer experience and get better visibility on the progress of your transfers.
