Important Security Update: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Now Mandatory
To enhance the security of our community and protect user accounts, WindowsForum.com now requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all accounts. This is no longer optional.
Why MFA?
The rise in credential theft and account breaches across the internet has made MFA an essential part of modern account security. MFA helps protect your account even if your password is compromised by requiring a second verification step.
How It Works
With MFA enabled, after you enter your username and password, you will be prompted to enter a verification code generated by an authentication app (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator) on your mobile device.
How to Set Up MFA (XenForo 2.3)
  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to your Two-Step Verification settings.
  3. Click "Enable" next to the "Time-based one-time password (TOTP)" method.
  4. Scan the QR code with your authentication app.
  5. Enter the verification code generated by your app to confirm.
  6. Save your backup codes securely.
Already Have MFA Enabled?
Great! No further action is needed.
If You Are Locked Out
If you're unable to access your account due to MFA issues, please contact us through the contact form with proof of account ownership.
Thank you for helping us keep WindowsForum.com secure.
