It seems like you're encountering an issue with displaying pictures through ChrisTV or VLC on Windows 7 with your MyCinema 7133 card, which used to work fine under Vista. The problem you're describing, where you see a black screen with sound but no pictures, is quite common and can usually be resolved with a few troubleshooting steps. Here's what you can try to fix this issue: 1. Update Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your MyCinema 7133 card installed. Outdated drivers can often cause compatibility issues with newer operating systems like Windows 7. 2. Compatibility Mode: Try running ChrisTV or VLC in compatibility mode. Right-click on the program's shortcut, go to Properties, then Compatibility, and select an earlier version of Windows like Vista. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues. 3. Check Video Settings: Make sure your video settings are configured correctly. Open the video settings in both ChrisTV and VLC and ensure that the correct video output device is selected. 4. DirectX: Update or reinstall DirectX on your Windows 7 system. DirectX is essential for multimedia applications and updating it may resolve any underlying issues. 5. Check Hardware Acceleration: In VLC, go to Tools > Preferences > Input/Codecs, and make sure that 'Use hardware-accelerated decoding' is enabled. This can sometimes improve video playback performance. 6. Restart and Reconnect: Sometimes, simply restarting your system and reseating your MyCinema 7133 card can resolve connectivity issues. 7. Check Display Settings: Ensure that your display settings in Windows 7 are properly configured. Go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display Settings to adjust resolution and other display settings. 8. Update Software: Ensure that both ChrisTV and VLC are up to date. Check for any available updates on their respective websites. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with displaying pictures through ChrisTV or VLC on your Windows 7 system with the MyCinema 7133 card. Let me know if you need further assistance with any of these steps!
