Hello All,
I have a problem printing over WIFI to a printer connected to another PC on my home network. PC-1 can see PC-2 & other connected pcs and devices in network explorer but cannot connect to it. When attempting to connect with PC-2 I get Error code: 0x80070035, the network path was not found. PC-2 cannot see any other computers or devices. I have tried leaving the HOMEGROUP and creating another, trying to bypass HOMEGROUP but nothing helps, but can see the router. I hope the info below will help. Thank you to anyone with any help at all.
PC-1 is a DELL Dimension 8400 running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, it has an HP Deskjet 1220C printer USB connected. This PC is connected directly to a Netgear WNDR 3400 N600 router. The newest x64 drivers have been installed and the printer functions properly. Here is what ipconfig listed:

PC-2 is an ASUS B570 laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. When WIFI connected surfing the web works great but we cannot print to the printer. When connected with an Ethernet cable, we can surf and print with ease. The newest x64 drivers have been installed and the printer also functions properly. But to be connected by a cable defeats the purpose of having a laptop for us. Here is the ipconfig for PC-2:

    • Network Connection:

]Ethernet: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
    • Default Gateway: 10.0.0.1
    • DNS Servers: 10.0.0.1

    Issues Faced

    • PC-1 can see other devices but cannot connect to PC-2 with Error code 0x80070035 ("the network path was not found").
    • PC-2 can't see other computers or devices on the network and is unable to print over Wi-Fi (only works when connected via Ethernet).
    • Both PCs are on the same subnet (10.0.0.x) and share the same default gateway and DNS server.

    Troubleshooting Steps:

    1. Check Network Sharing Settings:
      • Ensure Network Discovery and File/Printer Sharing are enabled on both PCs.
      • Check if they are on the same Workgroup/Homegroup.
      []Firewall and Antivirus:
      • Temporarily disable third-party firewall/antivirus software to see if they are blocking network communication.
      [
      ]Network Troubleshooting:
      • Run the Network Troubleshooter on both PCs to diagnose any network-related issues.
      • Flush DNS cache and renew IP configurations.
      []Printer Sharing Configuration:
      • Confirm that the printer on PC-1 is shared over the network.
      • Install the printer on PC-2 as a network printer, using PC-1 as the host.
      [
      ]Network Permissions and Credentials:
      • Check if the correct sharing permissions are set on the shared printer and folders.
      • Try accessing PC-2 using its IP address (\10.0.0.9) instead of the hostname.
      []Printer Driver Compatibility:
      • Ensure that the printer drivers installed on both PCs are compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.
      [
      ]Update Network Drivers:
      • Update the network drivers on both PCs to the latest versions.
    2. Homegroup Troubleshooting:
      • If Homegroup is causing issues, try leaving the Homegroup on both PCs and configure sharing manually. Try these steps to resolve the printing issue over Wi-Fi between PC-1 and PC-2. Let me know if you need more specific guidance on any of these steps!
