Windows 7 New drive causing very slow shutdowns.

Hello. I am experiencing very long shut down times, lasting atleast five minutes, then reach a blue screen. The blue screen shows DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
I have recently removed my CD drive and replaced it with a Link Removed holding another hard drive. I would obviously like to resolve the blue screens so that I may keep using the secondary hard drive in my upgrade bay. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Update: Fixed. I followed the instructions from HP Elitebook 8560p Won't Shutdown as it turned out to be a hardware problem, not software. Thank you for the wonderful forum that I consult first for my Windows 7 problems and inquiries.
