Hello Windows enthusiasts! Microsoft has just announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.1465 and Build 22624.1465 (KB5023775) to the Beta Channel. These builds bring several updates and enhancements that Windows Insiders will find intriguing. Let's dive into the details and see what's new and improved.

  • Build 22621.1465: New features are off by default in this build. If you were previously on Build 22623, you'll automatically receive Build 22624. This is achieved through an enablement package that distinguishes the builds by incrementing the

    New Features in Build 22624.1465​

    Live Captions in More Languages​

    Live captions are now available in more languages, including:
  • Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Spanish
  • Various English dialects Enable them via WIN + Ctrl + L or through Quick Settings. The first-time setup will prompt you to download speech recognition support.

    Updated Touch Keyboard Settings​

    The touch keyboard now has a dropdown menu with three options:
    1. Never: Suppresses the touch keyboard.
    2. When no keyboard attached: Shows the touch keyboard only when no hardware
      keyboard is present.
    3. Always: Shows the touch keyboard even if a hardware keyboard is attached. These settings can be found under Settings > Time & Language > Typing > Touch keyboard.

      Cloud Suggestions in Simplified Chinese IME​

      Enhanced cloud suggestions and integrated search suggestions have been added to simplify typing popular words in Simplified Chinese.

      Multi-App Kiosk Mode​

      A new feature for IT administrators to lock down devices, allowing specific apps to be used while blocking others. This is useful for devices used in shared environments like frontline work and education.

      Other Notable Changes and Improvements​

      Taskbar & System Tray​

      A VPN status indicator is now visible in the system tray, overlayed on the network connection icon in your system accent color when connected to a recognized VPN profile.

      Voice Access​

      The redesigned in-app help page for voice access now includes all commands and supplementary information.

      Fixes for Both Builds​
