A huge number of updates failed to install. What do I do?

New Windows 7 Professional installation

Solution
Normally, there is an order in-which the updates have to be downloaded and installed before the next batch can go. Usually this is just attributed to one or two updates in the bunch. Generally, the fix is just rerun the MS update utility again.
