New Windows 11 Release Preview Builds 22621.3668 & 22631.3668 Now Available

Overview​

In an update for Windows Insiders, Windows 11 Builds 22621.3668 and 22631.3668 are now available in the Release Preview Channel. This update, featuring exciting new additions and improvements, targets users on Windows 11 versions 22H2 (Build 22621) and 23H2 (Build 22631).

Key Features and Enhancements​

  • PC Manager in China: A new inclusion tailored for devices in China as part of this update.
  • Window Share Window Improvement: Users can now prevent accidentally closing the Windows share window by clicking outside of it. To close, users should select the close button at the upper-right corner.
  • File Explorer Enhancements: Users can now drag files between breadcrumbs in the File Explorer address bar using a mouse. This feature gradually rolls out to all users for enhanced usability.
  • Direct Sharing to Microsoft Teams: Users can now share to specific Microsoft Teams channels and group chats directly from the Windows share window by signing in with a Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Account Management Features: The update introduces a new Linked devices page in Settings > Accounts for managing PCs and Xbox consoles. Additionally, a new account manager in the Start menu allows easy management of account settings by Microsoft account sign-ins.
  • Various Share Window Improvements: Users can now create quick response (QR) codes for webpage URLs and cloud files through the Windows share window, gradually rolling out.

Bug Fixes and Improvements​

  • Resolved account profile picture change error (error code: 0x80070520).
  • Fixed issues with NTLM authentication traffic on domain controllers, Virtual Secure Mode scenarios, file management, sound settings backup, and more.
  • Addressed errors affecting File Explorer, Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) audio headsets, Unified Write Filter (UWF) API calls, and the Share button on USB controllers.
