Nvidia has released GeForce Hotfix Display Driver 610.82 for Windows 10 and Windows 11 64-bit PCs, addressing RTX 50-series stability problems in Halo: Campaign Evolved and intermittent long pauses in Path of Exile 2 when the game runs in DirectX 12 after extended play sessions.
The July 22, 2026 release is based on Nvidia’s GeForce Game Ready Driver 610.74, the current WHQL-certified driver published on July 7. Its change list is deliberately short:
The Path of Exile 2 correction is similarly narrow. It applies specifically to prolonged sessions in the game’s DirectX 12 renderer; players using Vulkan, or those seeing unrelated stutter shortly after launching the game, should not assume every performance problem has been addressed.
Driver 610.82 is an optional Nvidia hotfix, not a WHQL-certified Game Ready release. Nvidia says hotfix packages receive a shorter QA cycle and are provided as-is to deliver targeted corrections before the next regular driver. The company expects the included fixes to be rolled into a future official driver, after which the separate hotfix download will be removed.
Users who are directly affected can download 610.82 from Nvidia’s Customer Care support portal and install it over 610.74. A restart is normally required to complete a display-driver installation. After rebooting, confirm the installed version in NVIDIA App or by opening NVIDIA Control Panel and selecting System Information; the driver version should read 610.82.
Users who do not play either game, or who prioritize Nvidia’s standard certification process, can remain on GeForce Game Ready Driver 610.74 and wait for the next WHQL release.
