Windows 7 Oh dear, oh dear, HELP

i recently tried to clean install windows 7 and i wanted to create a partition for it to go on, but i think i shud have formatted it before creating a partition and it says its corrupt or something along similar lines (luckily i backed everything up beforehand), so thinking it wud work i formatted the hard drive and tried again but im still getting the same message when trying to install windows 7, it stops and the expanding windows files section, and computer wont load up to my desktop etc

any suggestions?

Try chkdsk in DOS mode, I suspect a problem with your hard drive.
