Windows 7 pc not booting

hi,

when I turn on my pc I get the follolwing error message "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

Can someone please help me?

Some specific information might help. For instance, is this a new install, have you changed your drives lately or added any external drives/flashdrives? What was going on before the described event?

Have you booted to the Windows Install DVD and run a Startup Repair?
