Just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit (Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600). It works great with one exception: I have a HP Color LaserJet 1600, which worked like a charm until I switched to Windows 7 from XP. It takes several hours for a 3 MB doc to start printing. Test pages take about 50 mins. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver many times. I've plugged it into another pc (XP) and it works fine and starts right away. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening or what I can try to fix this? Thanks

What driver did you install? PCL? PS? Did you get the latest from the HP website?

It's a Plug N Play driver downloaded directly from HP's website.

Try to grab the Vista driver package:

I tried it. No improvement. It seems like the larger the file the longer the wait.

Thanks for the help. This did not work for me, nor any other versions. I finally ran across information from another person with the same troubles. It turns out the BIOS needed updating. I have an Asus P7P55d LE motherboard. My printer works great!
