I recently installed win 7 clean install.
Every time I try to play any sort of audio, be it online or off, I always eventually get a "robotic" /"tinny" or a "static-y" sound from any source.

Device Manager says my drivers are up to date. I have NVIDIA High Definition Audio and Realtek High Definition Audio. I checked Acer and all of my drivers are up to date according to their site.

Any ideas?

    • You can download the latest audio drivers directly from the manufacturers' websites:
      • NVIDIA: Visit the NVIDIA drivers download page and search for the latest audio drivers for your GPU model.
      • Realtek: Navigate to the Realtek downloads page and look for the latest audio drivers for your specific Realtek audio device.
    []Check Audio Settings:
    • Ensure that the audio settings in Windows are configured correctly. Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Playback devices" to check the audio output settings.
    • Make sure the correct audio device is set as the default playback device.

    ]Disable Enhancements:
    • Sometimes, audio enhancements can cause issues. Disable any audio enhancements that may be active:
      • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray.
      • Select "Playback devices" and double-click on your audio device.
      • Go to the "Enhancements" tab and check "Disable all enhancements".
      • Click "Apply" and then "OK".
    []Adjust Sound Quality:
    • Try adjusting the sound quality settings in Windows:
      • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray.
      • Select "Playback devices" and double-click on your audio device.
      • Go to the "Advanced" tab and try changing the default format to a different value (e.g., 16 bit, 44100 Hz).

    ]Check for Interference:
    • Electrical interference can sometimes cause sound issues. Try moving the audio cables away from other electrical devices and see if it improves the sound quality.
[]Test with Headphones or External Speakers:
    • If you have headphones or external speakers, try connecting them to your computer to see if the sound issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the built-in speakers.
    [
    ]Windows Update:
    • Make sure Windows 7 is fully updated through Windows Update. Sometimes, Microsoft releases audio driver updates through Windows Update.
  2. Third-Party Audio Software:
    • If you have third-party audio software installed, try disabling or uninstalling it temporarily to see if it has any impact on the sound quality. After trying these steps, test the audio playback to see if the issue has been resolved. If the problem persists, further troubleshooting may be required. Let me know if you need more assistance after trying these steps!
