Windows 7 problem with dvd drive after install

hi i installed windows 7 on my pc on a seperate sata drive now i can boot vista/xp/windows 7 ,great!
only problem is i have a ide controler because there was only one ide port so i had to buy a 4 way controler that my lightscribe dvd is conected to,,only problem is it does not see the dvd drive now ,i have tried to update the drivers,windows 7 finds them but states wrong plattform any help please.
