Running Vista.Windows could not connect to a system notification service after updates.Did a system restore. All back to normal.Had this a couple of years ago.It related to one specific update then.Probably the same now.Does anyone know which is the culprit this time.Or have I got to go through the long process of one by one elimination.Thanks.

It can be quite frustrating when Windows encounters issues after updates, especially with the system notification service. If you've experienced a similar issue in the past related to a specific update, there's a possibility that the same update might be causing the recent problem. To identify the problematic update without going through each one individually, you can follow these steps: 1. Check Update History: - Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update. - Click on View update history to see the list of installed updates. 2. Uninstall Recent Updates: - Identify the recent updates installed around the time you started facing the issue. - Uninstall these updates one by one to...

Uninstall Recent Updates: - Identify the recent updates installed around the time you started facing the issue. - Uninstall these updates one by one to pinpoint the problematic update. 3. Group Uninstall: - If you suspect a specific update category (e.g., security updates, driver updates), you can try to uninstall all updates from that category at once. 4. Windows Update Troubleshooter: - Use the built-in Windows Update Troubleshooter to automatically detect and resolve update-related issues. 5. Safe Mode: - Boot into Safe Mode and check if the issue persists. This can help determine if a third-party application or service is causing the problem. 6. System File Checker (SFC): - Run the SFC scan to check for and repair corrupted system files that might be impacting the system notification service. If you encounter difficulties identifying the problematic update or need further assistance, feel free to provide more details or run Windows Update troubleshooting tools, and I can assist you in resolving the issue.
