Hello,

I have a modem ZTE model MF626 and i can get with it 1.2 mbps using WIN XP and WIN Vista. I intalled it in a laptop with Win7 and i have two problems, the first one was solved by myself:

1. The modem was regonized like external CD drive, now i fixe it and win7 regonized it like a modem. (SOLVED and if anyone have this problem i can help).

2. I cannot connect to internet as 3.5G (1.2 mbps), i get only 2G or GPRS signal (128 kbps), i dont know where or how to chose manualy the signal to work with.

The ZTE support told me to change in 'Interfaz de usuario / Ajustes de Red / Seleccion de Red' (User Interface / Network Configuration / Network Selection) and chose 'Automatic' option but i dont know where this option is.

Someone could help me to fix my problem? i paid for a 1.2 mbps service but in Win7 only get 128 kbps, thanx.

Lestat

Hello Lestat, It seems like you are facing an issue with your ZTE MF626 modem on Windows 7 where you are unable to connect at the 3.5G speed of 1.2 Mbps and are stuck at 2G or GPRS speeds of 128 kbps. The suggestion from ZTE support about changing the network selection to 'Automatic' in the User Interface settings might be the key to resolving this problem. To help you locate the setting to change the network selection to 'Automatic' on your ZTE MF626 modem in Windows 7, follow these steps: 1. Open Network and Sharing Center: - You can access this by right-clicking on the network icon in the system tray and selecting "Open Network and Sharing Center." 2. Change Adapter Settings: - In the Network and Sharing Center, click on "Change adapter settings" on the left-hand side. 3. Locate your ZTE Modem: - Your ZTE modem should be listed here. Right-click on it and select "Properties." 4. Navigate to Modem Settings: - In the modem properties window, look for settings related to the network and connection. There might be an 'Advanced' tab or a 'Network' tab where you can change the network selection mode to 'Automatic.' 5. Set Network Selection to Automatic: - Find the option that allows you to set the network selection mode and choose 'Automatic' if available. This setting should enable the modem to connect at the highest available speed. By setting the network selection mode to 'Automatic,' the modem should then be able to connect at the 3.5G speed of 1.2 Mbps as you desire. If you encounter any difficulties locating the specific setting or if the option is not available as described, please provide more details about the modem configuration interface so I can assist you further.
