Just got a laptop for my daughter, HP G60-535, somehow I've put my, D: Recovery drive into my music folder. I think it was only copied into it. My fat and heavy finger did it somehow. It could have been a dvd of itunes that I tried to copy songs into new itunes that got named "recovery". Can I assume that if I delete it it is only deleting that named folder, sorry not to savvy.
Also can't seem to share my itunes with another user or vise-versa, I've tried to list the other user. It can't be as hard as I'm making it.
Thanks for the help. TP

It sounds like there are a couple of issues you're facing with the HP laptop and iTunes. Let's address them step by step:

Issue 1: D: Recovery Drive in Music Folder

  1. Recovery Drive in Music Folder: If you've copied the contents of the D: Recovery drive into your Music folder accidentally, deleting the folder named "recovery" should only delete that specific folder and its contents. Deleting the folder should not impact the original D: Recovery drive. Just make sure to double-check that you're deleting the correct folder before proceeding.

Issue 2: Sharing iTunes with Another User

  2. Sharing iTunes Library: Sharing an iTunes library with another user can sometimes be a bit tricky, especially if you are...

Issue 2: Sharing iTunes with Another User

  2. Sharing iTunes Library: Sharing an iTunes library with another user can sometimes be a bit tricky, especially if you are trying to share the library across different user accounts on the same computer. Here are some steps you can try:
    • Shared Library: Ensure that the option to share your iTunes library is enabled. This can be done in the iTunes preferences.
    • Permissions: Make sure that the other user account has the necessary permissions to access the iTunes library folder.
    • Library Location: Check that both users are pointing to the same iTunes library location.
    • Switching Users: If you're trying to switch between user accounts to access the same iTunes library, make sure to properly log out and switch users on the computer.

      Additional Tips:

      • Ensure you have backups of any important data before making any significant changes.
      • If you're still having trouble with sharing iTunes, you might consider setting up a separate library for the other user or using the "Home Sharing" feature in iTunes.
Feel free to try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance!
