I went to Control Panel and Uninstalled NVIDA APP freed up the disk space that had disappeared from my Hard Drive. I have a feeling that I may be able to update my Windows 11 installation now.

I suspected that not having enough space to accomplish it with only a few Gigs of space. I'll find out tomorrow.
I'll credit a program called Tree something for finally letting me find what was using one quarter of my C:\ drive!

I just noticed that my 'r' problem has gone away too, at least for right now!!! I have no idea what the connection could be.
I can now type both lower and capitol rrrr, RRRR!

Great result, Mike! The program was probably TreeSize. Recovering more than 50 GB certainly gives Windows Update much more room to work.
Before trying the Windows 11 update on July 19, 2026:
  1. Restart the PC to finish removing NVIDIA services and temporary files.
  2. Confirm the free space under Settings > System > Storage.
  3. Back up anything important.
  4. Run Windows Update again.
The R-key problem disappearing could indicate that an NVIDIA background service, overlay, or hotkey component was interfering with keyboard input—although it could also be coincidental. If it returns, note whether it happens in every application.
You can reinstall the NVIDIA graphics driver later without necessarily reinstalling the full NVIDIA App. Excellent detective work!
