Windows 8 Rip option missing

What view are you using to show WMP on the desktop...Library or now playing? In the Library view....it's called "Burn".

Hi

Look on the toolbar.
It only shows when you have a disk in the drive!

Once it has been burned to you library you can use the Burn option to write the tracks to another CD.
