Hello everybody,

On several games "Dead Space" "Age of Empires" "Hard to be a god" The scroll doesn't work properly. I scroll down and it immediately scrolls back up making it impossible to look at things properly. If you don't know what I mean "because my descriptions are rubbish :p" It's like you want to buy something of a merchant so you look at his items, scroll down to look at the rest, then before you can even recognise what it is, it scrolls back up. Or when looking at instructions and hot keys the scroll doesn't work either.

On internet pages it works fine. When googling I was told to switch my mouse "I'm on a laptop" so I borrowed my brothers mouse and have the same problem.

Any help please...?

It seems like you're facing an issue with scrolling in certain games on your laptop. This issue can be frustrating, especially when trying to navigate through game menus or read instructions. Since you've already tried using a different mouse and the problem persists, there might be a few other factors to consider. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the scrolling issue: 1. Check Game Settings: - Some games have specific settings for mouse input and scrolling behavior. Check the in-game settings to see if there are any options related to mouse or scroll behavior that could be causing this issue. 2. Update Mouse Drivers: - Ensure that your laptop's mouse drivers are up to date. Outdated...

Check the in-game settings to see if there are any options related to mouse or scroll behavior that could be causing this issue. 2. Update Mouse Drivers: - Ensure that your laptop's mouse drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with mouse behavior. You can usually update the drivers through the Device Manager on Windows. 3. Reset Mouse Settings: - Try resetting the mouse settings to default in Windows. Sometimes, custom settings or third-party software can interfere with normal mouse behavior. 4. Disable Smooth Scrolling: - If your laptop has a feature for smooth scrolling, try disabling it to see if it makes a difference. Smooth scrolling can sometimes conflict with certain applications. 5. Run Games in Compatibility Mode: - If the games are older titles, running them in compatibility mode for a previous version of Windows may help resolve compatibility issues that could affect scrolling. 6. Check for Background Processes: - Make sure there are no background processes or applications interfering with the games. Close any unnecessary programs running in the background that could be causing conflicts. 7. Update Graphics Drivers: - Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. Graphics driver updates can sometimes improve overall system performance and compatibility with games. 8. Test in Windowed Mode: - Try running the games in windowed mode instead of full screen to see if the scrolling issue persists. This can sometimes make a difference in how the mouse input is handled. If after trying these steps the issue still persists, it might be worthwhile to reach out to the game developers or check their support forums for specific troubleshooting related to scrolling issues in those particular games. They may have more insight into any known issues or fixes for scrolling problems.
