Windows 8 SD CARD FROM CAMERA NO LONGER RECOGNIZED

When I try to download pictures from my camera's SD card my PC no longer recognizes it. When I am finally able to open My Computer (There is no longer a My Computer button) there is not a listing for the SD drive and it acts like it is not even there. How can I get my computer to import pictures and videos like it did before I changed to Windows 8? Thanks for any assistance.

If the card does not appear in Computer after you stuck it in, you are probably missing the driver for your card reader. Get it from the website of your PC manufacturer.

Else you try to import directly from the camera using Paint.
