Windows 7 Security setting mismatch

I cannot connect to my wireless network no matter what I do. My adapter seems ok, I'm connected through a public connection right now. However, when I try to connect to my own router it's a no go. Windows sees my network ssid so that's good, so I hit connect and it's asks me for my passphrase, so I enter it and it says it's not right. I have wpa2-personal aes encryption setup on my network and my vista machine connects no problem. I've verified my passphrase and it's right, I've even tried to create a usb setup and it still says that the security settings do not meet the requirements of the network. I'm stumped on this one.
