Anyone know why Google Chrome Shockwave always crashes? And what can we do about it?

Thanks

Teak,

Google Chrome no longer supports Adobe Flash, which is commonly referred to as Shockwave. If you are experiencing Shockwave crashes in Google Chrome, it might be due to several reasons:

1. Outdated Shockwave Player: If you are still using Shockwave Player, it might be outdated. Chrome no longer supports this plugin, so it's best to ensure you're not using it.

2. Issues with Flash Content: Some websites still use Flash content, which can cause crashes in Chrome. It's best to avoid websites that heavily rely on Flash.

3. Conflicting Extensions or Plugins: Certain extensions or plugins in Chrome can conflict with Shockwave, leading to crashes. Try disabling all extensions and plugins to see if the issue persists.

4. Hardware Acceleration: Disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome can sometimes resolve Shockwave crashes. You can do this in Chrome settings under "Advanced Settings."

5. Corrupted Profile: Your Chrome user profile might be corrupted, causing Shockwave crashes. Creating a new user profile in Chrome can help resolve this.

6. Update Chrome: Make sure you are using the latest version of Chrome. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve such issues.

If you are still experiencing crashes after trying these steps, it's best to seek help from Google Chrome support or forums specific to Chrome troubleshooting.

Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance!
