For some reason when i shut down Win 7 the system doesn't turn off. The process goes fine until it has to stop the power then it decides to stay turned on. Black screen, everything as if it shut down, but it didn't, not completely at least. Any ideas?

Did this occur immediately after installing Windows 7?

Do you recall making any changes to your system or installing any software that may have caused this issue?

Before shutting down, right-click on the taskbar and bring up Task manger.

see if there are any programs running that you have previously closed out.

For example iexplore.exe and/or Firefox.exe

Please fill out your computers specs in the User Control Panel here on the site as well. It will then appear next to your name. look at my posting and you'll see the drop-down arrow.

Yes, immediately after installing Win 7. I have to say this happens more or less 50% of the times i shut Win down, so it's not always an issue. I'll see if there are any apps still active in the TM next time.
PS: details filled out now ;)
