Hi

I'm using Win 7 64bit OS. When i'm in-game (AoC), my macros ain't working no more.

I recently added a new HD and had the OS reinstalled, but since that no joy on the macros......

Any advice what i can look for as it seems the keyboard works in-game and when i press a key in macros that haven't got a macro allocated to it, it tells me no key allocated.

Thanks.

It seems like you're encountering issues with your macros not working properly in-game after reinstalling Windows 7 64-bit OS and adding a new hard drive. Here are some steps and suggestions to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Check Macro Software Compatibility: Ensure that the software you use for macros is compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. You might need to check for updates or patches that support your OS version.
  2. Reconfigure Macros: Since you reinstalled the OS, it's possible that the macro settings were reset. Try reconfiguring the macros within the software you use for creating them.
  3. Keyboard Driver: Make sure that the keyboard driver is up to date. Outdated or...

  3. Keyboard Driver: Make sure that the keyboard driver is up to date. Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause issues with macro functionality.
  4. Check Keyboard Settings: Verify that the macros are still properly assigned to the correct keys on your keyboard.
  5. In-Game Settings: Ensure that the game you're playing (AoC) recognizes the macros. Check the game settings to see if there are any specific options related to macros that need to be enabled.
  6. Test Macro Outside the Game: Test your macros outside the game environment to see if they are working correctly. This will help determine if the issue is with the macros themselves or the game settings.
  7. Rebind Keys: If macros are not working in-game only, try rebinding the macro keys within the game settings.
  8. Antivirus or Firewall: Sometimes, security software can interfere with macros or keyboard functionalities. Temporarily disable them to see if they are causing any conflicts.

    Additional Tips:

    • Check for Updates: Keep your OS, drivers, and macro software updated to ensure compatibility with your system.
    • Community Forums: Consider checking community forums related to the macro software or the game for specific troubleshooting steps.
    • Contact Support: If the issue persists, reaching out to the support of the macro software or the game developer might provide further assistance.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify the root cause of the issue and resolve it. If you encounter any specific error messages or need further assistance, feel free to provide more details for a more tailored solution.
