All of a sudden, my computer does not detect my daughters Sims game, which was installed and played often months ago. The message says to please insert the cd and start the application again. Why doesn't it detect it anymore? The computer (compaq) is less than a year old, and other games installed works. Thanks.

remove the program from the computer, reboot, reinstall.
programs get corrupt after lotsa use
