I figured out how to stop win7 from asking if I really want to delete a file - I have not been able to stop it from asking when I delete a book title off of my mp3 player while attached to my pc. Any ideas?

To disable the confirmation prompt when deleting files from external devices like an MP3 player connected to your Windows 7 PC, you can adjust the system's settings related to file deletion prompts. Here's how you can try to disable these prompts: 1. Disable Recycle Bin Confirmation Prompt: - Right-click on the Recycle Bin on your desktop. - Select "Properties." - Uncheck the box next to "Display delete confirmation dialog" or "Display delete confirmation dialog" for whichever drive is your external device. Click "Apply." 2. Change Recycle Bin Properties: - Plug in your MP3 player. - Right-click the Recycle Bin on your desktop and choose "Properties." - Under the "General" tab, look for the external device and change the...

Modify Device Settings: - Connect your MP3 player. - Go to "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers." - Right-click on your MP3 player device, choose "Properties." - Look for any settings related to deletion prompts or access permissions. 4. Command Line Deletion: - You can also try deleting files from the MP3 player using Command Prompt to bypass the user interface. - Open Command Prompt (cmd) as an administrator. - Use the del command followed by the file path of the MP3 player's files to delete them. 5. Third-Party Tools: Unlocker: - Consider using a third-party tool like "Unlocker," which can help you delete files without prompts. - After installing Unlocker, use it when you encounter the delete confirmation dialog. By adjusting these settings or using command-line options and third-party tools like Unlocker, you may be able to delete files from your MP3 player without the confirmation prompts in Windows 7. Monitor the deletion process carefully when testing to ensure files are removed as intended.
