I thought protection history and offline scan would have improved since ten . I find protected folders hard to use. I don't understand either.
I also cannot fine offline scan in event viewer. I asked a friend who is very good at these issues and he said neither do I so I do not use them.
Am I alone? Can you direct me to a video that explains each as I cannot find one.

Offline Scan and Protection History:

  • Offline Scan: The Windows Defender Offline scan is utilized to detect and remove deeply embedded threats not handled by standard scans. [*Accessing Offline Scan: You can run this scan from Windows Security by going to "Virus & Threat Protection" > "Scan Options."
  • Protection History: [*Accessing Protection History: This displays detected threats, actions taken, and more. You can find it in Windows Security.
  • Navigation: The path to the Protection History might be "Virus & Threat Protection" > "Protection History."
