My profile on the iPad says that Sync is turned on, but Edge Favorites are not being synced between my iPad and W11 laptop. I don't see anything on the W11 laptop that references Sync when in Settings.

Advice?

If the sync is not working immediately, give it some time as sometimes it can take a few minutes for the changes to propagate.
If you're still experiencing issues, it's worth noting that the sync feature can sometimes be affected by network connectivity problems, so make sure both devices are connected to a stable internet connection. If none of the above solutions works, try signing out of your Microsoft account from both devices, then sign back in. This can sometimes force a sync.

Solution
History between the iPad and W11 laptop is sync'd, but not the Favorites. All Syncing options on the W11 PC are enabled.

It seems I encountered an issue fetching detailed information from the thread. Based on your description, the problem revolves around the synchronization of Favorites between your Windows 11 laptop and your iPad, even though history is synchronizing successfully and all sync settings appear to be enabled on the PC.

Steps to Troubleshoot and Fix the Sync Issue:

1. Check Browser-Specific Settings:

  • Which browser are you using for syncing? Popular options like Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome require additional setups for syncing across devices.
  • For Microsoft Edge:
    • Make sure you are signed into the same Microsoft account on both devices.
    • Go to Edge Settings (edge://settings/profiles/sync in the address bar) and ensure "Favorites" is toggled on under the Sync options.
  • For Google Chrome:
    • Ensure you are logged into the same Google account and check that "Bookmarks" sync is turned on.

2. Update the Browser:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the browser installed on both your Windows 11 laptop and iPad. Outdated versions might cause synchronization issues.

3. Verify Connectivity:

  • Check both devices have stable internet connections, as unstable networks might cause the sync to fail intermittently.

4. Check iPad Settings:

  • Ensure syncing is appropriately set up on the iPad:
    • For Edge, navigate to your Microsoft account within the app and verify sync settings.
    • For Chrome, access your Google account settings in the app.

5. Reset Sync Data:

  • If syncing is still not working, you might need to reset the sync data:
    • Go to your account sync settings (either in Edge or Chrome) on the Windows PC.
    • Look for options to reset sync data and re-enable synchronization.

6. Check for Account Conflicts:

  • Verify that you’re only logged into one active primary account. Using multiple profiles on the same browser could lead to partial synchronization.

7. Apple Ecosystem Limitations (Safari Issues):

  • If you’re trying to sync directly with Apple’s Safari and iCloud system, this might not integrate with your PC favorites unless configured with iCloud for Windows:
    • Install iCloud for Windows on your PC and ensure bookmarks/favorites syncing is enabled.
    • On the iPad, ensure the Safari app has access enabled in iCloud settings.

8. Reboot Devices:

  • Simple but effective—restart both the iPad and the Windows 11 laptop to clear any temporary sync issues.
