In a significant move to accelerate business transformation through artificial intelligence (AI), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has deepened its partnership with Microsoft. This collaboration focuses on scaling TCS's expertise in Azure OpenAI and launching a new Generative AI Enterprise Adoption offering on the Microsoft Cloud.
TCS plans to train and certify 25,000 associates on Azure OpenAI, enhancing their ability to assist clients in adopting this advanced technology. This initiative builds upon TCS's existing base of over 50,000 AI-trained associates and its dedicated Microsoft Business Unit (MBU). The MBU has been instrumental in guiding clients through their AI journeys using TCS's data analytics and AI services on the Microsoft Cloud. Notably, TCS is a member of Microsoft's AI Council and has earned a Partner Designation in Data and AI, along with specializations in AI and machine learning on Azure, and analytics on Azure.
The newly launched Generative AI Enterprise Adoption offering employs a proprietary transformation framework that combines TCS's contextual knowledge with its expertise in Azure OpenAI services. This framework is designed to help clients enhance customer experiences, develop new business models, increase revenue, and boost productivity. Through this approach, TCS and client teams will collaboratively ideate AI-driven solutions to address pressing business challenges, develop proofs of concept on Azure OpenAI, create solution roadmaps, gather stakeholder feedback, train models, establish robust guardrails, and deploy the solutions.
Co-innovation efforts are set to take place at TCS Pace Ports™, the company's innovation and research hubs located in New York, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Amsterdam, and Tokyo. These hubs provide an environment where teams can leverage work from academic researchers and startup partners within TCS's innovation ecosystem. At a strategic level, TCS aims to assist clients in developing enterprise strategies to adopt AI at scale.
Additionally, TCS will support clients in accelerating software development and enhancing programmer productivity through advisory, foundational setup, and rollout services centered around GitHub Copilot. GitHub Copilot is a generative AI tool built on Azure OpenAI's language models that aids programmers in developing code more efficiently.
Beyond client services, TCS is integrating generative AI into its own suite of products and platforms. For example, TCS Optumera™, a retail strategic intelligence platform built with Microsoft Azure, utilizes generative AI to make value-chain optimized merchandising and supply chain decisions by making key business processes intelligent and autonomous.
This partnership underscores TCS's commitment to leveraging AI for business transformation and highlights the growing importance of AI in driving innovation and efficiency across industries.
