Windows 8 Tip for Good/Better Boot Times

> Task Mgr > Startup (tab)

Items show amount of 'stress' they exert @ boot up. Each can be Disabled/Enabled. Most, to all, do not need to be running @ startup. You can select what is or is not from all to none or any amount in between; obviously, there is the most impact from those that are rated High & or Medium. Tip here is, the fewer running @ Startup, the faster the Bootup time will be.

Cheers,
Drew

Also, huge programs that can be uninstalled & replaced with another program that does the same/similar things & with a smaller footprint should be used instead. Turn on fastboot and skip boot checks on startup. Delay needed startup items for 1 minute and disable the non essential one's. my 2 cents
