Trend Micro has recently released Patch 2518 for Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS) 10.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1), introducing several enhancements and addressing known issues to bolster product security and performance.
Key Enhancements:
  • OpenSSL Update: The patch upgrades the OpenSSL component within the Apache web server to version 3.0.15, enhancing the security framework of the product.
  • Vulnerability Mitigation: It incorporates updates to various modules to protect against potential vulnerabilities identified between November 2024 and May 2025.
Resolved Issues:
  • Language Display in Web Console: Post-application of Patch 2514, certain screens in non-English versions of the web console displayed content in English. Patch 2518 rectifies this issue, ensuring consistent language display across all supported languages.
  • Installation on x86 Platforms: An issue in tsc.exe (version 7.5.1209) previously hindered installation on x86 platforms. The updated patch addresses this, facilitating smooth installations across different architectures.
  • Agent Migration Tool Availability: The unavailability of IPXfer_x64.exe due to a DatFHS_x64.dll error has been resolved, restoring the functionality of the agent migration tool.
  • Certificate Check in tmlisten.exe: A certificate verification issue in tmlisten.exe that prevented Security Agents from downloading pattern updates from the WFBS server has been fixed, ensuring uninterrupted update processes.
Installation Recommendations:
Trend Micro advises that Patch 2518 be installed exclusively on systems running WFBS 10.0 SP1. Administrators should verify that their systems meet the necessary requirements before proceeding with the update.
Availability:
Patch 2518 is available for download from Trend Micro's Download Center. For detailed information and access to the patch, refer to the official release notes.
By implementing this patch, organizations can enhance their security posture and ensure the stability of their WFBS deployments.
