I have tried many times without success to run the Windows 7 backup and restore utility. Sometimes it just stalls without ever finishing and no reported errors. Sometimes it claims there it an error with my backup media (using DVD+R and have tried many brands and even DVD-R with no success). I am doing a simple backup of my photos folder which should span 2 maybe 3 DVDs. Not only that but when it runs to failure it runs painfully slow. How’s got a real answer for me. I am very frustrated.

    • Verify the integrity of your DVD media to rule out any physical defects.
    []Disk Cleanup:
    • Ensure your system has enough free space for the backup process to run smoothly.
    [
    ]Run Check Disk Utility:
    • Run a disk check utility to scan and fix any issues with your system's disk.
  5. Alternative Backup Software:
    • Consider using third-party backup software as an alternative to the built-in Windows backup utility.

      Additional Recommendations:

      • Incremental Backups: Instead of one large backup, consider breaking it down into smaller, incremental backups.
