My computer is an XPS Dell notebook. The model is M1330. The current OS is Windows 7 RC 64-bit.

I am no longer able to access webpages. I will get "Inernet Explorer Cannot display the Webpage" error every time i try to do so.

When i troubleshoot the problem my computer detects NO issues. Also the only affescted programs seem to be internet viewing ones, other programs such as antivirus(Avast, and MMORPGs(although i recently can no longer connect to the authorization server) still run their launchers perfectly. They can update and download things still.

I have already tried doing a system recovery. The result was about half an hour of being able to view the internet but then the problem occurred once again.

This problem was not present ntil after 7:00 PM PST 8-16-09.

The only new programs downloaded were: gamepath( game proxy)

    ]Proxy Settings:
    • Since you mentioned installing GamePath (game proxy), ensure that the proxy settings in Internet Explorer are correctly configured or disable them if not needed.
    []Firewall and Security Software:
    • Check your firewall and security software settings. Sometimes they can block internet access. Try temporarily disabling them to see if it resolves the issue.
    [
    ]Reset Internet Explorer:
    • Reset Internet Explorer settings to default. This can help fix any misconfigurations that might be causing the issue.
    []Windows Update:
    • Ensure that your Windows 7 RC is up to date. Sometimes critical updates can resolve issues related to internet connectivity.
    [
    ]Network Adapter:
    • Check the status of your network adapter in Device Manager. Update the driver if necessary.
    []DNS Settings:
    • Try changing your DNS server settings to a public DNS like Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) to see if it helps.
    [
    ]Malware Scan:
    • Run a full system scan with your antivirus software to check for any malware that might be affecting your internet connection.

  2. Browser Update or Alternative Browser:
    • Consider updating your browser to the latest version or try using an alternative browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to see if the issue is specific to Internet Explorer.

      Additional Notes:

      • Since the problem occurred after installing GamePath, consider uninstalling it to determine if it's causing the issue.
      • Keep track of any changes or actions taken to see if they coincide with changes in internet connectivity.
