Respected Sir,
I am using Dell Inspiron 15 R(5520) with windows 7 ultimate 32 bits but when I start my laptop following message was displayed :
The AC power adapter wattage and type cannot determinated.
The battery may not charge.
The system will adjust the performance to match the power available.
Please connect a Dell 90W AC adapter or greater for the best system performance.
Strike the F3 key(before F1 or F2 Key) if you do not want to see power warning message again.
Strike the F1 key to continue F2 to run the setup utility.
I press F2 to run setup utility but in setup utility under mSATA Device value is Not Detected and AC Adapter Type value is Unknown.I am unable to select these to make changes in their values.I also update the BIOS but the problem was not solved.Current version of BIOS is A13.I also diagnostics with Dell diagnostics but no error message was displayed and results are ok.I aslo diagnostics with online at Dell website. But no error message was displayed.I updated the battery driver but problem was not solved.I also try to fix this error message with troubleshooting utility available in windows.Kindly provide me solution for this problem.I am unable to charge my laptop.

Those chargers are a little more sophisticated than you might think. The built in electronics may not allow them to work if something is not correct.

Is there another charger you could borrow and try, or use your charger on another system?

Probably your household power is OK, but you might try changing the wall outlet power plug just in case?

I don't suppose it makes any difference if you remove the battery, you still get the warning?
