Windows Vista Unable to read DVD Video

My DVD drive suddenly stopped reading Movie DVDs. If I load data CD and data DVD it reads successfully. But when I load redbox or netflix dvd it does not read atall.

I tried changing the registry entries as described in this forum but no effect.

I am stuck. Tried re-installing the device driver too but no effect. Still the same.

Please help and let know if anyone have solution.

Hi

All I can guess at is that somehow your Codecs have become inoperable.
There are some free Codec packs that you can download and install, or you could try a repair install of Windows 7.

I'm not sure that this is what you need but Cnet is a safe place to download from.
