Hi,
I installed 7RC from MS, all went fine, I've not done anything unusual in the setup, all updates are installed, graphics ok etc. I created the initial account admin account, then from that a second admin.
Changed to that admin account, set it up etc, and created 3 other Standard accounts from here.
Now only my 2nd Admin account works; the problem being I cannot resize, maximize or close with 'X' as they former do nothing, the latter is greyed out. This is only on the other accounts, not my main account, be they admin or standard.

Link Removed due to 404 Error

Any ideas or slutions?
I tried running regedit but that didn't help, nor did a supposed fix of copying my working %appdata% folder to that of the other accounts.

Solution
It seems like you are encountering an issue with user accounts on Windows 7 RC, where only the second admin account is functioning properly, while other accounts are experiencing problems with resizing, maximizing, and closing windows. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue: 1. Check User Permissions: - Ensure that the user accounts experiencing the issue have the necessary permissions to perform these actions. Check if they are part of the correct user groups (e.g., Administrators, Users). 2. System File Checker Tool (SFC): - Run a System File Checker scan to check for and repair corrupted system files. Here's how you can run SFC: - Open Command Prompt as an administrator. - Type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow. - Wait for the scan to complete and follow any on-screen prompts. 3. Create a New User Account: - Try creating a new user account to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is specific to those user accounts. 4. Check Group Policies: - Group Policies may restrict certain actions for specific user accounts. Review the Group Policies applied to the affected user accounts. 5. Windows Updates: - Make sure all Windows updates are installed. Sometimes, issues with user accounts can be resolved through system updates. 6. System Restore: - Consider performing a System Restore to a point before the issue started occurring. This can help revert any changes that might have caused the problem. 7. Check for Malware: - Run a full antivirus scan to rule out any malware or malicious software causing these issues. Try these steps and see if any of them resolve the problem with the user accounts on Windows 7 RC. Let me know if you need further assistance!
