Hi everyone.

I have Vista Home Professional installed on my AMD notebook.

I have by mistake permanantaly deleted(shift + delet) window's default "Picture" folder. It containes lot of subfolders & images.

Is there anyway if this error can be undone & images recovered.
I had not created any restore point.

I am unable to reactivate the picture "folder"

Usually the data, under normal circumstances, is wiped for good, it actually depends on when you deleted it. Data isn't actually removed from your HDD, it's just put into a state where it can be written over. So as long as it's not been written over, there's a chance you may get it back. Their are specialists which can retrieve the information for you which ever state it's been put through but we are talking big bucks. There is a few utilities around though which might prove useful. Try here for a free trial : Data Recovery Software to Undelete; File recovery; Disk recovery; Recover Deleted Files

On this web page there is a whole stack of utilitys which are free but your gonna have to wade through them..: Free file and disk...

Hi! If it hasn't been to long, have you tried looking in your Recycling Bin ? Or is that there you deleted your folder ? Sometimes I've recovered from that area. Maybe you can recover from a shadow copy ? If you went and did it that bad, try File Recover 6.2 Windows (Link Removed - Invalid URL) Pc Tools Software. It says it can handle Vista, Basic and Ultimate. I think it may be alright for Premium. Make sure to check and find out. It is a free download...
