Understanding Bonded Lines: Fixing My Internet Speed and Stability Issues

I have been having trouble with low speeds and loss of internet connecting. I talked to a tech and they are coming out Friday to put a bonded line in. I think that is what they called it. What I don't know is what that means. It is suppose to stabilize and increase my speed. Can someone explain what that means.
