Hello,

i`ve got a new notebook. the normal daily defender updates are found automatically, but the Update für Microsoft Defender Antimaleware Platform will not be found.
in any case, there was this update for my two other pcs today but not for the new one. Could it be that the updates go out on different days? Or is it something wrong.

I know that this update is available every month.

Thanks a lot

The updates for Microsoft Defender Antimalware Platform are usually released on a regular basis, typically once a month. However, the availability of updates can sometimes vary based on several factors. Here are a few things to consider when it comes to updates for Microsoft Defender: 1. Update Rollout: Updates are often released in phases to manage server load and ensure a smooth rollout. This means that updates may not be available to all devices at the same time. 2. Automatic Updates: Microsoft Defender updates are managed by Windows Update. The timing of when updates are delivered to your specific device can depend on your Windows Update settings. Ensure that your device is set to receive updates automatically. 3...

Automatic Updates: Microsoft Defender updates are managed by Windows Update. The timing of when updates are delivered to your specific device can depend on your Windows Update settings. Ensure that your device is set to receive updates automatically. 3. Internet Connection: Confirm that your new notebook has a stable internet connection. Updates for Microsoft Defender and other Windows components require internet access to download and install. 4. Troubleshooting: If you suspect an issue with updates not showing up, you can try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter. This tool can help identify and resolve common Windows Update issues. 5. Manual Update: If you want to manually check for updates for Microsoft Defender, you can do so by opening the Microsoft Defender Security Center, going to the "Virus & threat protection" tab, and checking for updates within the application. 6. Contact Microsoft Support: If you continue to experience issues with updates not being detected on your new notebook, you may consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance and troubleshooting. 7. Patience: If the updates are part of a phased rollout, it may take some time before they are available on all devices. In such cases, it's a matter of waiting until the updates become available for your specific device. By ensuring your device is set up correctly to receive updates, checking for updates manually, and monitoring the situation over the next few days, you should be able to determine if there is an actual issue with the update availability for your new notebook.
