I am currently testing Windows 7 on a seperate drive and I want to install win7 Virtual XP Mode. Now i have checked my processor and it is capable of virtualisation technology but I can't find a setting on my AM2 motherboard BIOS which I thought would be capable as it's not to old. I have tried emailing abit but have got no response thus far. Anyone know of another way to tell if my motherboard supports this VT mode.

System:

Processor
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5400+

System BIOS : Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG
Mainboard : AN9 32X series(C51XE-MCP55XE)
Total Memory : 3GB DDR2-SDRAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT

Solution
From reading the manual,,,, no, that board does not support Virtualization Technology.
Even some of the newest boards and processors don't support it.
G'day,

Try this location. Link Removed

It is specific to AMD processors.

Cheers,

Dave
