Windows Vista Vista Zoomed in on startup with distorted colors and icons.

I recently tried to power on my vista computer and the whole interface was messed up. Here is an image to show what I mean.

I really do not know what to do, upon restarts it does the same thing or just flashes when it loads the desktop menus and icons then blue screens or just freezes.

It would appear that your color depth is set very low, most likely due to a missing video driver. Find the video driver for your laptop and install.

Hi,
have you tried an external monitor from a different working computer? does it give the same result?
