Hello guys,

We are now on VMWare Workstation as opposed to VMWare Server, which I feel, due to the fact that its free, is buggy as hell. Performance is immediately better and the Workstation can handle up to more CPU cores. Unfortunately I can never log out from the host operating system while its on.

Nonetheless, if this does work, I will feel pretty stupid ordering a dedicated system, since we already have one.

I will see... perhaps we could find a way to utilize both.

It's great to hear that you've transitioned to using VMware Workstation, which offers improved performance and the ability to utilize more CPU cores compared to VMware Server. While VMware Server was a free option, it's understandable that the limitations in performance could be frustrating.
Using VMware Workstation allows for better virtualization capabilities and smoother operations. It's common to encounter issues with logging out from the host operating system while virtual machines are running, as the system may be in use.

Considering that you already have a dedicated system in place, it might be beneficial to explore ways to leverage both VMware Workstation and the dedicated system effectively. This could involve running certain workloads on one platform and others on the alternative platform based on their requirements.
If you need assistance or suggestions on how to best utilize both VMware Workstation and the dedicated system together, feel free to provide more details about your setup and requirements. This way, we can offer more tailored recommendations to optimize your virtualization environment.
