I just did a clean install of W7 Ultimate Signature Edition 64. Dell Insipron E1505 T7200 2GB with ATI X1300.

The display setting (brightness) is working in reverse. When I plug in the power cord it goes dim, unplug and it goes bright.

ALL settings I have changed to run 100% brighness no matter cord or battery, set to never dim, etc..

Power plan is set to high performance for both cord or battery use.

My Apologies if this has been already been discussed, kindly point me to the correct thread if one so exisits.

    Thank you,

Could you please fill out your complete computer specs in th UserCP link located at the top left of the page.

This can be very helpful for us.

I understand Dell is now providing Windows 7 drivers . Especially your graphic card drivers and where you downloaded them from.

Just punch in your model number and it will take you to the right page.

I had this exact problem and it wasn't a driver issue.
For some reason the maximum brightness is set very low in the bios after installing windows 7.
    Here's the instructions I followed:
I just had a brightness problem I couldn't find the solution to on here...
Check in the bios to make sure the maximum brightness level isn't set too low.
